I added a bit of nail art to the ring finger. It's bubble tea! Have you ever had bubble tea? It's a yummy drink from Japan that can be flavored really however you like it, and at the bottom of the drink there are pearls of gummy tapioca. It's fun and delicious.
Here is Bubble Tea on it's own. It's a luscious pale green with tiny shimmer and scattered medium black hex glitter. They just sort of float in the polish the way the tapioca pearls float around in bubble tea before settling at the bottom.
I used green, yellow, black, and white acrylic paints to make the artwork on the ring finger. I started with a yellow green line for the straw.
Mixing black and white into the yellow-green, I added shading on either side of the straw to give it dimension.
Next I added black circles (or lumps, they aren't really great circles) to represent the tapioca pearls in the bubble tea.
Finally I added highlights with white to each little pearl to make them seem shiny and fat. I topcoated with Seche Vite and that's it! Have you ever tried bubble tea? What's your favorite flavor?
